Unsigned London-based four-piece Partly Faithful are ready to unveil their hotly anticipated second EP ‘The Beehive’. Described as “sinister art rock with a post-punk edge”, this extended player follows on from their now sold out self-titled debut. It features lead guitars and backing vocals from Savages’ Gemma Thompson and a generous amount of influence from Peter Gabriel, Bauhaus, Grinderman and early Horrors.

Written by Partly Faithful, produced by David Ryder Prangley (Rachel Stamp) and engineered by Adie Hardy (B-Movie) in West London, ‘The Beehive’ is a five-part reverb-drenched symphony noir that will haunt your nightmares.

Title track ‘The Beehive’ tells of an individual’s struggle to stay afloat in a dystopian society where a person’s worth is measured by their conformance to social norms. ‘Needles’ returns to the political vitriol of ‘Just Fine’ from their debut, spurred on by the series of strikes earlier in the year. ‘The Worm Within’ is Partly Faithful’s very own ‘murder ballad’; a twisted tale of tortured obsession and denial and the melancholic ‘So Happy’ is a heart-felt melody about watching a former lover get married. The finale ‘Pause For Applause’ is arguably their most controversial offering so far…

Partly Faithful ’s live line up has recently been enhanced with the addition of guitarist/backing vocalist Anouska Haze (Rubella/Exotica). The band will be touring around the UK and Europe in support of ‘The Beehive’ this autumn. London shows have just been confirmed with Cold In Berlin and David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets).

Track Name: The Beehive
In this playground of fear and crowded isolation,
She walks in footprints melted from snow.
Would anybody hear if she shouted out the poison?
Or would they just continue heel to toe?

They follow each other..

So she leaves the words unspoken
Because admitting that you're drowning
Doesn't mean much when you're breathing in sea.

If she could just tread water or maybe stand much taller?
But she's already to deep for them to see..

They follow each other.. in the Beehive.

In this playground of fear and crowded isolation,
She walks in footprints melted from snow.
And nobody can hear as she shouts out all the poison!
They just continue heel to toe...

They follow each other.. in the Beehive.
Track Name: Needles

Another soundbite, inane, on TV.
Another chance to recite your lines (lies)
And everything you say is just rhetoric.
Oh how you must think we are pathetic.

And you lie, yes you lie.
And you lie, yes you lie...
And it feels like needles.

So is that your solution to everything?
To blame other people for each situation
That doesn't reflect very well on you?
You can say what you like but that don't make it true.

'Cos you're lying, yes you're lying.
You are lying, yes you're lying...
And it feels like needles inside.

Appealing to basest of instincts
You don't need a war this time.
Keep the fearfully screwed full of jealousy
In your right-wing state of 'Austerity'.

And you're lying, yes you lie.
You are lying, it's all lies...
And feels like needles.

Your words are deceiving, you have us believing
By saying the one thing while doing the other.

Like needles in my brain.
